Born Gold - Lawn Knives

After a little hiatus that involved far too much sitting in a small room studying, I'm finally ready to dive back into the world of music and blogging. I've come across several songs that I plan on posting soon, but I'm going to start off with the song that I heard a few months ago, but didn't really like until a few days ago. Born Gold is a band that recently changed their name from Gobble Gobble and thank goodness for that because when I heard this song a few months ago, I refused to like the band on their band name alone. Born Gold is a Canadian band that I assume drinks a bunch of energy drinks before recording their songs. The band is hyper-kinetic and full of energy and that comes through in all their songs.

Lawn Knives is the first track on the band's album called Bodysongs and really sets a great example of what the album sounds like. They're are crazy beats and synths all over the place with vocals that go well with the music. Listening to this song makes me jump around a lot and when I'm in my car, I like to lower the windows and turn up the volume. I'm a big fan of this song even though it's not really what I usually like. The entire album is available to download for free here. Check out the song below:
