Periodical Post VII (Handsome Furs, We Are Augustines, Black Cobain, Wale)

I got a text from my friend Raza yesterday. It read, "dude I thought of some sick TQF t-shirt designs while in the shower." I don't know whether the fact that he was thinking of TQF in the shower or designing shirts is more flattering. But let it be known, TQF has an officially unofficial t-shirt design. One day it'll get so big that you'll see everyone rocking one. One day..
Hit the jump for your usual random handful of tracks.
Don't know how the first track got onto my iPod but it's by an indie duo from Vancouver. Not really a stand out track but something about it sticks out to me. Maybe it's the synths, I'm not sure.
Repatriated by Handsome Furs:
I know exactly what sticks out to me on this track. Everything from the instruments used, the chorus, to the meaning of the song catches my ear. This has been my jam for the last couple of days.
Headlong Into The Abyss by We Are Augustines:
Black Cobain released a mixtape a couple weeks ago called Young, Gifted, and Black. I first heard him on the track 4 AM he did with Wale. Based off of that first impression I was pretty disappointed with his release. I did like this track from it though.
Intoxicated (featuring Tiara Thomas) by Black Cobain:
Wale decided to go over Drake's I'm On One. Wasn't too hot on it when I first listened but it's slowly begun to grow on me. Hear it for yourself below.

I was going to do a post on that Handsome Furs track! Keep away from my music scene yo.

Haha where did you hear that track? You know what they say. The early worm gets the bird. Wait.. That doesn't sound right..
I'm familiar with Handsome Furs, I have all their albums. I'm a big fan of the vocalist's other band Wolf Parade.
