Stephen Malkmus - Stick Figures In Love + Deado

Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks latest album entitled Mirror Traffic is full of some pretty solid tracks. I posted on one of them back in July and here's another song that really stood out to me. Stick Figures In Love has a really catchy hook in it that I instantly loved with a cool sounding guitar line that plays throughout the song. It's vintage Stephen Malkmus throughout the song with slacker vocals, an easy vibe and energy to boot. This second track I'm posting is not from Malkmus' lastest album. It's actually from his first album with the Jicks that was released back in 2001. Yes, that is quite old I know, but I happened to randomly hear it last night for the first time in about three years and it blew me away. I totally had forgotten about this song, I really don't know how. Deado has the a sound to it that's hard to describe. There's a touch of melancholy. Listening to this song makes me want to go lay in the grass at some park and just stare up at the sky and think about everything going on in life. This song just really makes me wistful for the old days. So I've decided to share it here because it's not a well-known song, but it should be. Check out both song below and download them if you like as well:
