Childish Gambino - We Ain't Them + Unnecessary (featuring ScHoolboy Q)

Gambino went on a rant today, 140 characters at a time on Twitter. I encourage everyone to take the time out and read it, especially fans of Hip-Hop who feel like artist today aren't as sincere as they used to be. That's honestly a conversation for another day, right now I don't have much spare time but I wanted to get the new Gambino track out.

I absolutely love the artwork that was on his site today, not because of the artist it depicts Gambino looking up to be, but how it depicts Gambino. I'll be updating less frequently for a couple weeks, but I promise TQF will be on the regular again next month. Make sure you read through his timeline.

Left Boy - Call Me Maybe (featuring Carly Rae Jepsen)

Maybe I'm just a hater but I cringed when I found out Left Boy's latest track used this sample. This is despite the fact that I find the her song pretty catchy, but nothing that I could ever see myself sharing on here, and then Left Boy dropped this. Bastard.

Video Games is still my jam. I hope he blows up this year, 2012 is still young.

Birdman & Mack Maine - B Boyz (featuring Kendrick Lamar & Ace Hood)

Kendrick easily wins the gold medal in this one, the dude just self-destructed. This song was actually on the Birdman & Mack Maine mixtape Billionaire Minds which was released back in November. I just found out about this track because the video for it was released last week. I'm downloading the tape now to see if any of the features are worth keeping, judging by how I didn't even hear of the tape as a whole, it probably isn't much more than a flop...

Or I'm just really out of the loop. Track download below.

Big Sean - Life Should Go On (featuring Wale)

First things first, Key Wane did an amazing job with the keys for this track. This one was released through The Syndicate's G.O.O.D. 2: (Getting Out Our Dreams) mixtape. Sounds a little rough around the edges. Not too many details beyond that, hopefully a final version pops up on an official project.

Video: Tyga - I'm Gone (featuring Big Sean) + Still Got It (featuring Drake)

Tyga seemed to be on a video roll, he released two visuals from Careless World recently. Big Sean molds so well into the beat for "I'm Gone". Visual for "Still Got It" is after the jump. I love the throw back theme they did for it.

Careless World has sold over 199K so far.

Childish Gambino - Fuck Your Blog (featuring Flynt Flossy & Yung Humma)

"I'm a Mac Pro with an afro/Move in silence like a .gif"

I went through three phases during my initial listening of this song:

1. Denial

2. Confusion

3. Weird dancing phase in my parents' dry-cleaner.

As hilarious as this song is, it's twice as catchy, and Gambino's verse goes HARD (even though it's about goat intercourse and what not, so many one-liners). I'm really loving his tweaked flow.

RAC - Hollywood (featuring Penguin Prison)

RAC has had their share of coverage on TQF, but never like this. Usually one of their respective members grabs a track they like and remix it. This time the founder of RAC (André Allen Anjos) enlisted Penguin Prison to supply a million dollar hook over original production that's just as melodic and catchy as it has been in the past. This track is very impressive for a first go at making something from scratch.

I hope there's more to come.

Remix: Game - Wouldn't Get Far (featuring Kanye West) (Woody Remix)

Woody recently released a remix album consisting of 11 tracks that Kanye West had his hand in some sort of way. His remix of "Wouldn't Get Far" has been making the rounds and for good reason, his re-working of the sample Kanye used respired some new fresh air into throwback making it near infectious.

Great work. Check out the rest of the mixtape here.
